Scripture reading: Joel 2: 18 -32 & Isaiah 6:1
The church is going through and coming out of a very difficult period indeed. It is fair to say, that, if the church is going through then the people are going through. The question begs, how will we come out of the struggle; will we come out as pure gold or will we be marked by the stain of the fire? The process must though enable us to become all that God wants us to be. The three Hebrew boys came out of their fiery experience without the aroma of fire in their garments, but, instead, they came out victorious and ready for their release.
In this lesson, we read about the desolation which should be made in the land of Judah by the locust and caterpillars. Whilst the people are under this judgement, to return and repent, too fast and pray and to seek God for mercy. There is a promise made that upon their repentance, God would remove the judgement and repair the breaches made upon them by it and restore unto them plenty of all good things. We have entered the season of ‘release’ and a time to in our season to ‘expect the unexpected’.
What do we mean by ‘release’, how do get in a position of ‘expected’ and how do we create a spiritual platform, so, we can touch the ‘unexpected’.

Release: allow or enable to escape from confinement, set free, let go or allow to leave etc.
Expect: anticipate, await, look for, or anticipate etc.
Unexpected: unforeseen, unanticipated, unpredicted or unplanned etc.
These definitions only serve to state the obvious, about the underlying meaning of each word. The question that we need to ask is how can we position ourselves to receive the unexpected from God?
The principle of sowing and reaping can be found in Genesis 8:22, however, this goes beyond that as we are not only looking forward to a release in our finances, relationships, in healing and in our deliverance but we also expect something supernatural to occur.
